Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go 10,000 miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on Brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights? ...If I thought the war was going to bring freedom and equality to 22 million of my people they wouldn't have to draft me, I'd join tomorrow. I have nothing to lose by standing up for my beliefs. So I'll go to jail, so what? We've been in jail for 400 years.
Muhammed Ali (1942-2016)

How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
It's cloudy, it's a cloudy day
It's cloudy, it's a cloudy day
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
It's raining, it's a rainy day
It's raining, it's a rainy day
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
It's snowing, it's a snowy day
It's snowing, it's a snowy day
It's foggy, it's a foggy day
It's foggy, it's a foggy day
It's windy, it's a windy day
It's windy, it's a windy day
Hi! How are you? Fine! I've got a question
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
How, how's the weather, how's the weather?
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
(How, how's the weather, how's the weather?)
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
(How, how's the weather, how's the weather?)
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
(How, how's the weather, how's the weather?)
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
(How, how's the weather, how's the weather?)
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
It's sunny,it's a sunny day
Usage
We used to have a "weather bear", a wall decoration that could be dressed in various outfits to match the actual weather, but now it's more than worst for wear.
One method of doing the song is to give individual children or small groups specific "weather cards" and then they sing that line as it appears in the song. Alternatively, all the children can sing the how's the weather line and the teacher can perform a kind of kamishibai with flash cards and sing the weather parts. Another possibility is to use the song as BGM to time other activities, particularly those involving writing.
