According to Oxfam by 2016 the richest 1% will own more wealth than the rest of us put together. That is over 50% of the entire wealth of the world. And more: just 85 individuals have the same wealth as the bottom half of the world’s population.
Reasearch by PNAS indicates that higher social class predicts increased unethical behavior. And according to the Greater Good Science Center wealth makes people less generous, less compassionate and less empathic.
The pursuit of wealth is destroying the world.
